Had the pleasure to stay here this past summer in July. This was a very clean and quite place to stay at. It is with in walking distance to town and a very nice state park. I placed reviews on other sites after the stay but just discovered this site. I would recommend anyone looking to visit Harrison to try this little get away!! Loved the stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Acorn, the owners are great, the room was cute, the only thing we would change is the shower head didn't spray. But that was just a small thing. They advised us the restaurant down the way not only delivers pizza but their complete menu (while was large) and the food was great. We just found our get away place!
This is our favorite place to stay when visiting Harrison! We actually drive up just to spend the night there sometimes! It is family owned and operated. Ron and Mary are very friendly and customer service is a priority for them. Something you do not find easily these days. The rooms are very clean, and cozy. They have a fire pit that you can enjoy and roast a hotdog or some marshmallows. What a great little place to stay. We love it!
Best Motel I.ve ever had the privilage to stay at. The have the most friendly staff, Very convenient location in the area. If I am going to see the sights, go to the lake, or are needing a nice base for hunting season....this is alwayse my first choice. Highly recomended. Mary and Ron are not just the staff, they are your friends as soon as you walk in the office. And its hard to beat the price, especially when you are treated so well.
Great stay , we came in late on the bike and they were more than accommodating going back in September clean rooms and great shower. Great stopping point half way up to the U.P
Have always loved this little place. So sad to hear they are doing "winter hours" already in October. Meaning only weekly or monthly residents. Idk if I'll want a motel room someone lived in for months? New owner, so I get things might be different? But to not host the hunters and such seems a shame. We'll see when Spring rolls around. I fully intend to stop by when rolling through this Spring and see how it faired over the winter and if I'll be returning.
